Abstract: Development of devices for the automatic control of the state of the elements that are components of cars has been presented in this article. In spite of the diversity-controlled parts authors have identified the essential elements of each of the positions. Each unit is composed of a housing base plate - with a notch adapted to the controlled element skeleton - part responsible for the determination of controlled parts [, electronic control system detail, visual signaling allowing for rapid assessment of the inspection. A noticeable fact is related to the necessity of proper selection of industrial sensor technology for specific applications. The premises, existence of which can cancel the interop control in favor of the final inspection was been shown by the authors. Considering the most popular industrial sensor systems, with respect to the following criteria measuring range, resolution, sensitivity, also an important factor in the selection [ of the actuators and control subsystem has been discussed. Also the general algorithm of the automatic process control with the methodology of Poka-Yoke has been presented.

Abstract: Steps of validation of the testing device which integrate two quality testing channels (symmetrical Poka-Yoke system) have been described in this article. System was required for testing correctness of the welds of sheet metal stampings, which can be produced as two different, evenly balanced objects (left right pieces). Authors attempted to develop the concept and the implementation of double channel Poka-Yoke system in one housing. Main reason for this integration was requirements for saving space and minimizing changeover time. The goal was reached. However the adverse condition that causes an increase in the possibility of making mistakes by service was observed. This condition was eliminated during the optimization process by the changing in construction and logic in the control program of PLC. All of the reasons for that was described in the article. Particular attention was paid to the positioning of the tested elements, optimization of the proximity inductive sensor layout and mistake proof process depended on wrong manipulation of the tested element. Full 3D CAD model of the end conception and physical implementation was shown in the article. The system was developed and still works in the factory.

Abstract: Legs are the mostimportant elements for accomplishing human physical work includingtransportation or displacement. In this paper, a new mechanism for human legmotion assistance has been proposed for rehabilitation purposes. The structureof human leg and its motions have been used as inspiration for design purposes. For a simple control algorithm, the proposed mechanism for the legs mustgenerate an ovoid path of the foot, by uniform rotating of actuating crank. Themechanism must generate an approximately linear trajectory of foot duringpropulsion. The resulting linkage is a single degree-of-freedom (DOF)mechanism, which exemplifies the shape and movement of a human leg. Theactuator of the mechanism is located in the upper portion of the linkagesimilar to it in a human leg. The mechanism is simulated and tested to verifythe proposed synthesis. A 3D model of the proposed system has been elaboratedin Solid Works®, booth for design and simulation purposes. Simulation resultsshow that the proposed mechanism performs movements similar to those of a humanleg. Maple and Adams software packages are used to simulate and validate the usabilityof the mechanism. The proposed mechanism demonstrates that a one DOF closedloop mechanical linkage can be designed to the shape and movement of the bipedhuman walking apparatus. The proposed mechanism is suitable for the fabricationof legged robots. Proportions of the linkage are estimated utilizinganthropometric measures of the human leg.

Abstract: In the paper the method of integration of production planning and simulation systems has been presented. An automatic generation method of production systems models has been implemented to integrate the Production Order Verification System (SWZ) for multi-assortment, concurrent production planning) and Enterprise Dynamics simulation system. Submitted methodology allowed the direct generation of simulation models for production systems with the use of data obtained from PPC systems, regardless of the production system structure, flow topology of the production processes and the amount of resources and production orders. Generation of simulation models is performed automatically, allowing the omission of time-and labor-consuming process of building a simulation. In the process of generation of the simulation models, methods of data mapping, transformation and exchange, between heterogeneous computer systems (PPC/DES) using neutral formats and data storing (XML) in conjunction with an intermediate neutral data model have been used. The result of transformation is the input file for simulation systems, containing information about the production system model, together with control procedures. Based on the described methodology, operation algorithms have been developed and the computer software RapidSim, that integrates PPC and DES systems has been presented.

Abstract: In the paper the role of the decision maker in the process of production scheduling is discussed. A general procedure specifying the activities carried out within the framework of particular steps of scheduling is shown. The scope of the interactions of the decision maker in the scheduling process under conditions of real time system is commented. The purpose of this work is to present a range of knowledge and information which should have a decision maker and also the advantages and disadvantages of each method of participation. The work in this area is one of the most important steps when designing a new, dedicated scheduling system as well as during the analysis, selection and adaptation of an external one.

Abstract: In the paper practical implementation of the methodology of production planning systems with discrete event simulation (DES) systems integration has been presented. The required definitions of data structures and functions transformation in the form of XSLT documents have been presented. The functional algorithm and RapidSim software made on its basis, which is practical implementation of the integration methodology was developed. Developed software and parameterising documents have been used for the integration methodology verification. RapidSim system was made in VisualBasic development environment, and by the fact that Data Transformation XSLT documents can be independently developed, the software can be used for any integrated systems. During the verification phase of the implemented methodology, the software has been used for the practical implementation of Production Order Verification System (SWZ) for multi-assortment, concurrent production planning and Enterprise Dynamics simulation system integration.

Abstract: Rescheduling, as a process of updating the production schedule is a very important element of production planning and control. The occurrence of events that outdate existing schedule is a typical situation in real manufacturing systems. Correct reaction to them allows maintaining the continuity of production and the value of evaluation indicators at the satisfactory level. The paper presents the general rescheduling procedure including activities taken from the occurrence of a disturbance up to introduction of the revised schedule. The procedure includes following steps: registering and identification of the event parameters, decision-making steps about the need and time for schedule correction, steps of changing the scheduling model, selection of rescheduling method, selection of a set of operations to rescheduling and also steps of the creation, selection, and implementation of the new schedule .

Abstract: A finite-buffer queueing system of the M/M/1/N type is used for modeling the operation of a single-machine production line with cyclic failure-free and repair periods. The arriving jobs enter randomly according to a Poisson process and are being processed individually with service times having the common exponential distribution. After an exponentially distributed working period a breakdown of the machine occurs, starting an exponentially distributed repair time during which the service process is stopped. At the completion epoch of the repair time a new working period begins and so on. A system of integral equations for conditional probability distributions of the number of jobs completely processed before the fixed time t (departure process) is built, using the concept of embedded Markov chain and the total probability law. Applying linear-algebraic approach the compact-form solution of the corresponding system written for double transforms of departure process is found.

Abstract: This paper describes the expert system created to support development of Manufacturing Information Acquisition System (MIAS) for any company, regardless of companys technological processes characteristics. Proper acquisition of data describing the state of the production processes is crucial in the management of a company, because real-time information is a base for decision making and achieving operational excellence. Information on the state of production system have to be automatically acquired from various sources, pre-processed and made available for higher-layers IT systems (MES, ERP). One of the stages of development of MIAS is the synthesis of technical and organizational solutions responsible for the acquisition of various types of data. In order to support designers an expert system MIAS Advisor has been developed, supporting the choice of methods and technical means for the acquisition of data on various aspects of the operation of a company. The algorithm of the expert system operation, which allows easy updating of a set of rules of the system has been presented.
