HA Coating on the Surface of Titanium and Titanium Alloy

Article Preview

Abstract:

In this paper, the common problems of the preparation of hydroxyapatite (HA) bioactive coating on the surface of titanium and titanium alloy were described, which included bonding strength and biological activity. The improvement of the bonding strength between coating and matrix could be reached by using proper preparation method and changing the composition and structure of the coating. Besides, in order to improve the biological activity, micro regulation of three factors including the roughness, porosity and crystallinity of the coating surface could been used.
