Hydrothermal Problems of Wooden Windows

Article Preview

Abstract:

The paper deals with the thermal moisture problems in the functional gap wooden window. The moisture transport through gap between casement and window frame at condensation temperature is the main cause of condensation of water vapour. The transport causes: air pressure differences (taking water vapour) – infiltration a exfiltration and diffusion of water vapour (different saturation of water vapour in exterior and indoor air). It analyzes the reasons for the formation of condensation in the functional gap. Experimental verification of the problem is made on a large climatic chamber for four typical samples. Computer simulations support the evaluation of the measurement results.
