The Application of Paper Material in Transition Building after an Earthquake

Abstract:

Paper material has many excellent characteristics in architectural applications. Our main constructions for disaster rescue are temporary tents, board house and so on for a long time, so it is difficult to meet the psychological demands of the people in disaster area. According to Maslow's hierarchy theory of psychological demands, this paper analyzes people’s demands of physiology, psychology and social aspects in disaster areas, also sums up the exploration of paper material in architectural application, and finally summarizes that paper material is economy, flexible, safety, sustainable and so on.
