Application of Flat-Panel Grid Structure with Improved Double-Tube Buckling Restrained Members

Abstract:

Steel roof grid was detected and static analyzed. The grid was retrofitted because bearing capacity and rigidity of some steel pipes can’t meet requirement provided in codes. Method to reinforce the steel grid is adding pipes section area and replacing pipes with improved double-tube buckling restrained members. Analyze seismic behaviors of retrofitted grid using ANSYS software.
