Intelligent Monitoring of MSW Collection and Transportation System

Article Preview

Abstract:

MSW collection and transportation system is a complex process. In this study, taking Dalian as an example, an intelligent monitoring platform for the entire process of MSW collection and transportation was established which integrated radio frequency identification technology (RFID), global positioning system (GPS), mobile data services GSM/GPRS and geographic information systems (GIS). Systematic analysis of intelligent monitoring on MSW separation pilot indicated that the intelligent monitoring could realize the informatization of MSW collection and transportation, solving the current problem of lower efficiency and poor management of collection and transportation system.
