Study on Preparation and Properties of Nano-Modified Polypropylene

Article Preview

Abstract:

The printing and packaging properties of ordinary Polypropylene (PP) materials were modified by self-made nanometer silicon dioxide (SiO2) and the effects of different SiO2 proportion were investigated. The results showed that SiO2 modification not only greatly increased the mechanic properties of PP but also improved its universal performance including polarity, ink adhesion and solvents residual and therefore enable PP materials better meet the requirement for food packaging industry.
