Study on Bore Cores Evaluation Systems of Asphalt Pavement

Abstract:

The bore core method has used extensively in the field of asphalt pavement detection, maintains and final acceptance. Using the core’s evaluation index systems, the structural thickness, the disease range and the material grade of the road can be known and analyzed, as well as the attenuation of the key index of bitumen. The disease intensity of road surface and development trend in depth can be found out; the reason of the disease can be ascertained, through the compression strength, resisting and shearing mechanics indexes such as bonding strength, etc. Facts show that features in-depth analysis of bore core will help to identify causes of disease, and then adopt measures for improvement.
