Optimization of Parameters for Children’s T-Shirt Neckline

Article Preview

Abstract:

This study is an attempt to optimize the parameters for the neckline of children’s T-shirts. Experiments are made with six different kinds of knitted fabrics to analyse the relationships between fabric performance, sewing conditions and the neckline elongation of T-shirts. The result shows that there is a high correlation between course density, wale density, linear density, and T-shirt neckline. A multivariate regression analysis results in the establishment of a mathematical model, through which the neckline elongation can be obtained without sample trials so that the parameters for children’s T-shirt neckline are optimized and the design process simplified.
