The Research of Sphygmus Sensor Based on FBG in Smart Clothing

The sphygmus is the external reflection of many important information such as the conditions of heart and blood vessels, and the sphygmus wave contains rich physiological information as well, so extracting the pulse information accurately is of great medical significance. In this paper, a sphygmus sensor based on FBG is designed and the description of the production process is given. The sphygmus sensor can overcome some shortcomings of piezoelectric sensors, such as electromagnetic interference, and it also can be weaved into the clothes, laying the groundwork for using FBG to monitor the sound of heart in smart clothing. The experiment shows that the sphygmus sensor can accurately collect the pulse signals and the pulse wave, and the experiment error is less than 1 times/min.
