An Ultra-Violet Pulse Detecting Based Electroscope for AC Ultra-High-Voltage Apparatuses

Article Preview

Abstract:

A novel electroscope to detect the electrification state of ultra-high voltage power apparatuses using ultra-violet pulse detection is presented, which involves measuring the ultra-violet pulse among corona discharges from ultra-high-voltage appliances. Tests have been carried out at Guanting 750kV transformer substation; results indicate effeciveness of the electroscope to detect the electrification state with non-dusturbance.
