Simulation of Multi-Port Gear Pump Based on Virtual Prototyping

Article Preview

Abstract:

In order to reduce the development cycle and improve the design quality of multi-port pump, the virtual prototyping of multi-port pump is built by the function of three-dimensional modeling and virtual assembly of PRO/E, and pump flow status is simulated by FLUENT software, using dynamic grids technology. The simulation results show that: With the change of pressure difference between inlet and outlet, the dynamical characteristics of flow field is different. Meanwhile the pressure difference between inlets and outlet should be reduced in order to improve the performance of gear bump and increase the service life.
