Abstract:

In the passage, the process of selecting location, size, set out, dig kilns etc of the cliff-cave and sunken cave were discussed, as well as some of the requirements they should meet. The location selection is important. Then a number of structural, waterproofing and drainage measures were proposed. Finally, some construction points were mentioned, and thickness of overlying soil, span and height of the cave, kiln leg width, sidewall height etc should be checked after completion.
