Overall Image Shaping in Tourist Development of Industrial Towns Based on Human Geography and Physical Geography Contexts - Taking Xiaolan in Zhongshan City as an Example

Abstract:

Impacted by advent of the post-industrial period, the traditional industrial towns have witnessed profound changes in its current economic system and great transitions in its industrial structure, which is especially evident in the Pearl River Delta Region. As modern service industry booms and becomes an important transition mode for economic growth of industrial towns in the new period, regional tourism industry has grown vigorously. Taking Xiaolan town, a typical industrial town in the Pearl River Delta Region, as an example, this paper introduces theoretical concepts like human geography context and physical geography context in cultural geography, explores tactics for overall image shaping in tourism development of industrial towns under the core framework of the local human geography context and physical geography context.
