A Study of the Optimization of Building External Shading Methods in Chongqing Area

Abstract:

Based on the climate of Chongqing area, this study simulated and analyzed different simplified building external shading methods via energy simulation software, defining 30˚ as an interval, and finally obtained the optimized strategies for building external shading methods in 12 orientations, providing the simple and explicit shading choices for architects during the plan design.
