Abstract:

With the accelerated process of urbanization in China, the high-rise buildings are springing, which makes a large number of open spaces located at the bottom of high-rise buildings. By conducting field research and observation to some areas with high-rise buildings in winter cities, the paper not only summarizes the problems existing in open space environment at the bottom of high-rise buildings, but also proposes the planning and design strategies based on the comfort of environment including well organizing wind environment, creating comfortable sunshine environment, reducing environmental pollution and forming different functional spaces.
