The Research of Masonry Failure Criterion Based on Orthogonal Anisotropic Strength Theory

Article Preview

Abstract:

A more suitable failure criterion for masonry is built based on the theory of orthogonal anisotropic strength. Several kinds of failure criteria expressions are analyzed and compared and it is shown that the failure envelope based on Hoffman strength theory is in good agreement with the experimental results.
