Abstract:

According to Schopenhauer, style is the appearance of mind, then, the existence and expression of mind need a broad social environment and social background. What’s more, the formation of style has its own profound social, political, economical and cultural roots. There are a variety of genres in contemporary interior design realm, which has not formed a real style yet, but style preferences have already appeared and became evident increasingly. This paper aims to discuss the style preferences of interior design in current social background, and tries to draw some enlightenment.
