A Design and Numerical Study of Flying-Plate Initiating System

Article Preview

Abstract:

In order to form plane shock wave in explosive charge after detonation ,a flying-plate initiating system was put forward. The principle of material selection, the shape and incline angle of flying-plate were defined by theoretical analysis and calculations. The velocity of flying-plate, distance of between flying-plate and driving charge was analyzed and calculated according one-dimensional driving theory. The working process of flying-plate initiating system was studied by numerical simulation and the simulation results show flying-plate initiating system is reliable way to initiate main charge and form good plane wave.
