Separation of Glycomacropeptide (a Functional Protein Material) by Aqueous Two-Phase Systems

Article Preview

Abstract:

PEG/ ammonium sulfate aqueous two-phase systems were supplied to separate GMP. It was found that PEG molecular weight, PEG concentration and ammonium sulfate concentration could influence the partitioning of GMP. The data of experiment showed that 18% (w/w) PEG6000 and 15% (w/w) ammonium sulfate were the optimum system, in which the protein recovery was 69.2%
