Numerical Comparison of Refrigerating Performance between Porous Window on Slope Roof and on Flat Roof

Article Preview

Abstract:

This paper described the structure and working principle of porous window based on the unsaturated porous media evaporative refrigeration. The method and standardization for calculating and evaluating the performance of porous window have been put forward. The influences of environmental parameters and heat transfer coefficient on the refrigeration performance of porous window placed on slope roof and flat roof are investigated by numerical simulation. The calculation results show that the refrigerating performance of porous window placed on slope roof is better than that of porous window placed on flat roof. At the same time, It is pointed out that porous window placed on slope roof is beneficial for building energy efficiency.
