Control Types Option Research at Signal Intersection Based on LOS

Article Preview

Abstract:

The intersection is the critical node in city, and has important influence on traffic flow. Whether the intersection is controlled reasonably is the key to the safety and efficiency of the intersection. In view of the current urban intersections lack of signal control mode, typical intersection of Beijing Huairou is selected as main object of study. LOS is chosen as Performance Index, 2000 simulation tests of different levels of demand are designed by using Traffic simulation software, each test is made respectively with pre-timed control and semi-actual control. The Choose figures are given as the base of the intersection control types and comprehensive benefits for intersection analysis.
