Experimental Study on Treatment Phenolic Wastewater by Polymerized Silicate Containing Aluminium Sulfate and Magnesium Sulfate

Abstract:

A new inorganic polymer coagulant polymerized silicate containing aluminium sulfate and magnesium sulfate(PAMSS)were prepared. The effects of ratio of magnesium to silicon （Mg／Si）, pH, dosage of flocculant, temperature of the wastewater on phenol removal rate were investigated. The results shown that the removal of phenol is more than 80 ％ when the optimum ratio of magnesium to silicon is 1:1 for PAMSS, the amount of PAMSS added is 11 ml/100ml water, pH value of water is 7，the temperature of wastewater is 40 °C.
