Analysis of Using Interlayer Seismic Isolation Technology in Storey-Adding Structure

Article Preview

Abstract:

Comparing with direct storey-adding structure, storey-adding isolated structure has different effect to the seismic performance of original structure. By establishing a multi-mass dynamic analysis model of storey-adding isolated structure in which isolation devices were set up, the damping mechanism of storey-adding isolated structure with different amounts of added floors and various frequency of isolation layer was studied. The results show that, with the increasing of added floors, the inter-storey shearing force and inter-storey drift increased more obviously, and the isolation effect is more desirable when the frequency of isolation layer is lower than 50% of the site characteristic frequency.
