The Effect of Ventilation Mixed Coefficient on Main Filter Efficiency

Article Preview

Abstract:

In order to improve indoor air quality, the effect of ventilation mixed coefficient on main filter efficiency was analyzed. A mass balance equation for a well-mixed space was built. Some design equations for determination the main filtration efficiency was introduced. Because the air mixing is not perfect, the formula of air filter efficiency calculation on heterogeneous model was deduced. In addition, the relationship between ventilation parameters and the main filter efficiency was also analyzed. Through numerical calculation, the main filter efficiency under different heterogeneous coefficient is calculated. The results show that when the heterogeneous coefficient between 0.6 and 0.8, the main filter efficiency can take 1.30 to 1.80 to correct.
