The Research on the Mechanism of Sodium Hypochlorite Reducing Organic Matter in Boiler Makeup Water

Article Preview

Abstract:

The mechanism of sodium hypochlorite reducing organic matter in boiler makeup water is disscussed. To remove organic matter, sodium hypochlorite sterilizes the boiler makeup water through its strong oxidbillity and oxidates small unsaturated molecules directly and improves the surface properties of macromolecule organic matter. Besides, the organic content in boiler makeup water can be reduced through the synergistic effect that happens between NaClO and Fe2+ when the water contains Fe2+
