Computer Simulation of Steel Industrial Casting

Article Preview

Abstract:

The present work illustrates the procedure to simulate computationally the continuous casting process of metals. This is the most popular method to produce metals ingot without interruption. This procedure is useful to cast metals and alloys such as steel and aluminum. The algorithms have been developed to provide appropriated and efficient tools for reading data and display the simulation on the screen using a graphical user interphase(GUI).Analysis of the industrial processing allows to test and correct probable situations avoiding problems and risks;moreover computer simulation allows to identify critical aspect of the kinematics procedure and evaluate productivity.
