Determination of Organochlorine Pesticides by Headspace Liquid Phase Microextraction Using Ionic Liquid Material

Article Preview

Abstract:

Headspace liquid-phase microextraction with room temperature ionic liquid material, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([C4MIM][PF6]) as extractant for the determination of organochlorine pesticides including 2,4 '-DDT and 4,4'-DDT from water were investigated in this study. The factors such as salt content, sample pH, operation temperature, stirring rate, extraction time, microdrop volume, and sample volume were found to have significant influence on this process. Results show that the satisfactory extraction conditions were as follows: 30% NaCl (w/v), 800 rpm, 30 min, 60 °C, and 10μL ionic liquid.
