VOD Client Software Realization of Digital TV STB

Abstract:

Real-time VOD (Video on Demand) system is composed of a front-end processing system, a transmission networks, and a client. This paper focuses on the client software implement. It uses household STB (Set Top Box) with Hass hi3110e development platform, RTSP network protocol, and cable to control information, audio and video data transmission. The user client can start a request through cable television networks to achieve selection, storage, and playback the favorite programs anytime and anywhere.
