Abstract: The dynamic model of a remote controlled sprayer using skid-steering method is presented as a state equation. The precision tracking of the remote controlled sprayer is difficult to realize due to sensor noise. In this paper, we propose the extended Kalman filter (EKF) algorithm to compensate for the odometric sensor noise. To demonstrate the performance of the proposed algorithm, simulations which represent a real working sprayer in a greenhouse are performed. The results show the improved localization accuracy obtained by using the proposed algorithm.

Abstract: Comb accelerometer structure includes mobile fingers connected with proof mass and fixed fingers linked with anchor. Under a huge shock, the reliability analysis of the accelerometer is reduced to the one of simple beam due to the stopper, i.e. shock response of double-clamped beam and single-clamped cantilever. From the quantitative analysis and numerical simulation in this paper, some useful conclusions are obtained: first damage or fracture for comb accelerometer is the finger beam rather than the bearing beam.

Abstract: Based on permanent magnet (PM), lots of redundant position information can be achieved only by using few sensors. The redundant information is used for not only decoupling multi-dimensional displacement, but also reducing the measurement uncertainty. However, it is difficult to decouple the magnetic intensity and multi-dimensional displacement. On this point, this paper builds the measurement system consisting of hall sensors and a cylindrical PM. Secondly, the mathematical model of magnetic intensity and displacement is established with the help of finite element simulation. Thirdly, three-dimensional measurement algorithm is proposed based on the method of symmetry and linearization. The experiment results demonstrate the measurement system has satisfactory performance. In addition, without complex calculation, the system has the advantage of fast measurement.

Abstract: This paper presents the tracking characteristics of electromagnetic sensor. To the model of live wire magnetic field of the formula derivation, and analysis of height and horizontal distance of the electromagnetic sensor and magnetic field. Deduced from magnetic field model that the tracking characteristics of the dual-inductive electromagnetic sensor, to build a tracking model. According to the analysis of a large number of experimental data, experimental results have indicated that the tracking model was approximately linearly related to the horizontal distance.

Abstract: The safe of the cola mine has become the focus of the national industrial security, the prevention and monitoring of coal mine safety have been researched in recent years. With the development of sensor technology, MEMS, wireless communications, Wireless Sensor Networks have been paid great attention in industry field and our daily life. According to the grim situation of current production safety, the article applies WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) to safety monitoring system of the coal mine. For the purpose of meeting requirements of monitoring signals, JN5139 is chosen as the microprocessor. The sensor nodes can collect and transport the environment parameters of the coal mine including temperature, humidity and gas concentrate and so on, and send the data to the remote monitoring center. The monitoring system can improve the level of monitoring production safety and reduce accident in the coal mine.

Abstract: Bangduling (BDL) oral liquid, which is a new research and development herbal preparation, comprises four traditional Chinese medicines (TCM): Radix Scutellariae, Cortex Phellodendri Chinensis, Folium Isatidis, and Radix et Rhizoma Rhei. A simple, reliable and reproducible method, based on a high performance liquid chromatography-diode array detector (HPLC-DAD) method, for establishing fingerprint of complex herbal medicine BDL oral liquid was described firstly. In order to develop and validate this HPLC-DAD method, Kromasil C18 column (S-5μm, 4.6 mm × 250 mm) was used with gradient mobile phase at the column temperature of 30°C. The mobile phase was consisted of methanol and water containing 0.1% phosphoric acid. UV wavelength was set at 254 nm. Ten batches of BDL preparations were used to establish the HPLC fingerprint. In addition, the contents of baicalin in the preparations were also determined. Validation of the analytic method was evaluated by stability, precision and repeatability test. Calibration curve for baicalin showed good linearity with R2 = 0.9992. The relative standard deviations (RSDs) value of the relative retention time and peak area in the stability, precision and repeatability test, were less than 1% and 5%, respectively. The similarity of 10 batches of BDL oral liquid was more than 0.958, which showed the preparations from different batch productions were consistent. This established determination method could be efficient to the quality control of BDL oral liquid.

Abstract: Localization is an essential technology in the application of wireless sensor network. As a range-free localization algorithm, DV-Hop works well in dense and isotropic networks, but not much in irregular and sparse topologies, especially in the big curvature of shortest path case. In this paper, location information beyond the communication range was obtained by means of variable transmission power of enhanced nodes. Besides, three schemes was proposed to meet the need of different scenarios. Moreover, the simulation results validate that our method can improve position accuracy about 20% and ameliorate the performance of DV-Hop in irregular scenario.

Abstract: The locations of sensor nodes are essential to Wireless Sensor Networks applications. Researchers have proposed many localization algorithms for Wireless Sensor Network and verified them through simulators. In this paper, a system-level node location model that aims to validate proposed algorithms for wireless sensor networks in Matlab environment is proposed. This model can reflect the reality networks effectively. Using this model, researchers can verify the performance of the localization algorithms including run time, location error, and location node numbers.

Abstract: A wireless monitoring unit is designed for underground rail vehicles (URVs) in fields of mining engineering and underground construction. The unit consists of transmitting subsystem and receiving subsystem which are connected by using radio-frequency (RF) technique. Transmitting subsystem acquires and transmits the real-time motion parameters and state of a URV. Receiving subsystem transfers the data to ground monitoring station by RS-485 bus based on Modbus protocol. The upper computer in ground monitoring station displays and stores monitoring results of the URV, which enables the staff to obtain the information of a URV in time. Test results prove that the wireless monitoring unit can work steadily.
