Applying Ecological Niche Suitability Model to evaluate Land-Use Fitness

Abstract:

Using ecological niche model, the suitability of forest land-use in Nanfen of Benxi City, Liaoning Province was evaluated in terms of natural, economic and social factors. Results indicated there was not enough suitable area for forest land-use and one-third of current forest land-use was evaluated as unsuitable area. Ecological niche of actual resources should be improved for better eco-environment of forest land-use.
