Finite Element Analysis of the Destroy of Pressure Reducing Cone's Column in the Cement Silo

Article Preview

Abstract:

Pressure reducing cones columns in the cement silos of a factory appeared a lot of damage during use. Take two methods to checking the axial pressure of the column, and found out that the shortage of bearing capacity of the column in the original design is one of the main causes lead to the destruction. Through the modeling and analysis of pressure reducing cone by finite element analysis software, the output meet the results and proof this point of view. When designing the columns of pressure reducing cone, it is more reasonable to use normal and tangential pressure calculation formula of the hopper to calculate the load.
