The Investigation of the Deicing Salt Effect on Soil in Beijing

Abstract:

In this article, the classification and effects on environment of deicing salt are described, and the total components of two sorts of deicing salt commonly used in Beijing are analyzed, then we collected soil samples in Beijing’s main roads and areas, determined the soil pH and electrical conductivity, the results show that the value in roadside soil significantly higher than that in background. In addition, the soil pollution discipline in Beijing was studied.
