Design and Optimization of the Flywheel Compressor Based on SolidWorks and Fluent

Article Preview

Abstract:

To deal with the problem of energy waste in High-pressure gas relief of pulverized coal injection in the blast furnace, designed a flywheel compressor which consists of an energy storage mechanism and a power mechanism. It is used for recycling and reusing the energy released by the high-pressure nitrogen gas in pulverized coal mixing. It is a safe and an energy saving equipment without motor driving. In this paper, the model of the flywheel compressor was established in Solidworks and Fluent to simulate the flow field, then basic dimensions of the compressor was conducted, and structural design and optimization were completed at last.
