Research on Improving the Strategy of Open Pit Iron Mines’ Supply Capacity - Based on the Multivariate Cluster Analysis

Article Preview

Abstract:

The supply capacity of mine resources is influenced by the production capacity, ore grades, reserves. In accordance with the analysis of different indicators, resources’ supply capacity of mines are not the same. Multivariate cluster analysis avoids the defects of the evaluation of single index. By using the method of multivariate cluster analysis to analyze on the medium-sized open iron mines in China, and the results show that open pit iron mines in China can be divided into four categories. According to the different characteristics, different strategies should be taken to improve the supply capability of resources.
