Evaluation of the Surface of PLA/β-TCP Powder Complex Braid

Article Preview

Abstract:

This paper aims to prepare porous-structured PLA/β-TCP complex braid fabric. Cells fail to attach to PLA due to its hydrophobicity. Usually oiling agent is added to exclude static electricity. As a result, base refinement was applied to remove oil agents in order to observe cell adhesiveness. When PLA braid fabrics were immersed in 1 wt% NaOH for fifteen minutes, there are a maximum amount of cells on the surface. The concentration of NaOH solution matters little to cell coherence. The results of pH test and cytotoxicity test on extracts suggested that β-TCP can balance acidity in PLA and higher the cell’s survival rate.
