Integration of Knowledge and PDM for Collaborative Design in Networked Circumstance

Article Preview

Abstract:

Collaborative design is a new product development to react to the global market. Integration methodology of PDM and knowledge management is proposed in the paper for the increasing the requirement. The methodology is to establish a structure for the collaborative design of the project, design, process, proceed and product. The design is related to the collaborative design which is the main part of the system. Firstly, the basic conceptions are introduced, which can assist to acknowledge the methodology. Secondly, the steps of establishing the integration are proposed, which are eight steps for it. Knowledge management and PDM method are applied for system. Finally, the integration of the system is established. A real example is proposed to introduce the methodology, which is important for the integration of system.
