Improvement of Truss Bearing Capacity by Means of Rhombic Pipes

Abstract:

The paper reveals prospects of using rhombic profile pipes with the purpose to update supporting structures on the base of the carried out examination of nodes. The acceptable accuracy and simplicity of the calculated rhombic cross-sections in terms of the approximate method was shown. Two new technical solutions to lattice structures were given which further improvement of their technical and economic characteristics. Consumption of construction material in implementing these solutions is reported on the example of roof trusses.
