Azo dyes are the most versatile class of dye, but have complex molecule structure, difficult degradation properties under natural conditions and are not easily removed from water by conventional wastewater treatment systems [2].

Abstract. 4-Sebacoylbis(1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone) (H2SbBP) ligand has been successfully synthesized, characterized and used as ionophores in Nd(III) selective electrode using polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane as a support.
REE’s ion extraction process with pyrazolone derivative as ligands is influenced by the pH of the solution and the molecular structure of the ligand.

Based on the active amido of chitosan, a new amido is introduced by Cao Yan and the addition reaction is occurred[5], then the di-DTC-modified chitosan is prepared which has special structure and properties.

In order to understand the reason behind the different rates of growth we analyze the chemistry behind the RIE and the MACE processes.
