Abstract: The application of curved surface is more and more popular in various kinds of engineering, for different curved surfaces ,because the form and formation way of their generatrix form are different, the surface properties are also different[1,2],so the relevant materials used must match with them too.
The surface fluency and dynamic of various curved surfaces make them widely applied in architecture and decoration engineering. the Sydney Opera House and the “Nest” of Beijing Olympic stadium are outstanding representatives in different times.
In 1994,in a decoration engineering of a city government great hall, the author once used very simple character and knowledge which related to curve and materials to solve a curve problem that caused by the change of design plan, thus avoided an event that may cause great losses.
If according to the curve properties, it can be divided into spreadable surface and non spreadable surface, too, in the construction engineering —especially the decoration engineering, what we care about is the spreadable question of each curved surface and the usable surface decorative materials. here is the brief introduction in the following table, which is for the reference of the designers and constructors.
