Abstract.
Introduction Following economic growth these days, a social living paradigm of civilian has also changed and civil infrastructures have been supplied in order to meet the needs from the changed life style.
Primary reasons may include negative understandings of concrete engineers and quality inconsistency due to high dependency on original coal resources and types of plant.
This study aims to obtain optimal mix proportions of shotcrete which incorporates coal ash through the most important engineering factor, compressive strength.

Introduction
The roadbed is the important component of the road engineering, and also the weakest unstable spot.
Indoor compaction test was carried out by heavy compaction method of Chinese “Test procedures of Civil Engineering for Highway”(JTJ 051-93).
California Bearing Ratio (Said simply: CBR) is a performance index which is used widely in highway engineering and accepted generally in internation [5].
