Preface The International Conference on Manufacturing Science and Engineering is the premier forum for the presentation of new advances and research results in the fields of Manufacturing Science and Engineering.
The conference brings together leading researchers, engineers and scientists in the domain of interest from around the world.
Following the style of the previous two successful congresses, the 3rd International Conference on Manufacturing Science and Engineering was held in Xiamen, China, 27-29 March 2012, Organized by Fujian University of Technology, Xiamen University, Fuzhou University, Huaqiao University, University of Wollongong, Fujian Mechanical Engineering Society, China and Hong Kong Industrial Technology Research Centre.
The program was designed to advance manufacturing technologies to the next generation through discussion of the most recent advances and future perspectives, and to engage the worldwide community in a collective effort to solve problems in manufacturing.
The present volumes provide up-to-date, comprehensive and worldwide state-of-the art knowledge of the manufacturing science and engineering, including: advanced composite materials, advanced mechanical design, new materials and processes, advanced manufacturing technology, automation equipment and systems.
Online since: September 2011
PREFACE This volume contains some selected papers from the 2011 International Conference on Vibration, Structural Engineering and Measurement (ICVSEM2011) which is to be held in Shanghai, China, during October 21-23, 2011, and is co-organized by Guangzhou University, Cleveland State University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Tongji University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Ritsumeikan University and University of Victoria.
The conference aims to provide a high-level international forum for scientists, engineers, and students to present their new advances and research results in the field of Vibration, Structural Engineering and Measurement.
This volume covered all aspects of vibration, structural engineering and measurement, particularly of vibration engineering, structural engineering, building materials, and measurement.
The editors hope that this volume will provide the reader a broad overview of the latest advances in the field of vibration, structural engineering and measurement, and that it will be a valuable reference source for further research.

Introduction Many engineering materials, in particular metallic sheets, exhibit significant plastic anisotropy that can be attributed to the presence of crystallographic texture.
The evolution of texture during deformation was simulated with the GIA model [10], which is an advanced N-point model for simulating rolling textures, with high accuracy, as a function of initial texture, rolling strain as well as alloy composition [11].
