Key words: Shape memory alloy, Crack closure, Shape recovery, Shape restoration, Structure repair.
In recent years, there are a number of research works about the applications of SMAs in civil structures [11-16], in particular for damage repairs, by means of not only crack closure, but also cracking healing (using, for instance self-healing polymers and adhesives) and shape restoration [17-22].
Given the high price of NiTi SMA, it turns out to be a big problem which prevents NiTi SMA to be used in real engineering applications.

Keywords: Multi-scale polypropylene fiber; Splitting tests; Splitting tensile strength; Splitting tensile toughness
Abstract.
Test Material The cement is 42.5 R from the XiaoNanHai ,ChongQing; fine aggregate is from ChongQing QuHe river, and the fineness modulus is 0.7;coarse aggregate size is 5 ~ 20 mm; polypropylene fiber was produced by Beijing RongNaier Engineering Materials Co., LTD and Ningbo DaCheng New Material Co., LTD, performance parameters is listed in table 1.
Based on hundreds of testing and engineering experience, the coarse and fine fiber dosage was determined.
An experimental study on the behavior of fiber reinforced high strength concrete under spiltting tension[J].China Civil Engineering Journal, 2005,38(7):21-27.
