Experimental study on the material and environmental property of ancient adobe brick YUAN Jianli1,a, YANG Yun2,b, PENG Shengnan3,c 1,2,3 Civil Engineering College, Yangzhou University, Yangzhou 225127, China ayjl@yzu.edu.cn,b 653048566@qq.com,c 961281979@qq.com Keywords: adobe brick; ancient building; damage mechanism; environmental property; material test Abstract.
In consideration of the number of specimens in this study is less, the formula should be perfected through expand experiments and engineering practice in the future. 3) The mass loss rate of adobe bricks increased rapidly with the increase of freezing-thawing cycles, and both of them present a nonlinear relationship. 4) The freezing-thawing resisting performance of adobe bricks is far lower than the bricks made by modern technology, which needs to adopt surface waterproofing measures for ancient adobe buildings to improve the resisting capacity to environmental erosion.
