The effect of the volume ratio of materials on reaction Residual :water/V:V 1:0.8 1:1.2 1:1.6 1:2.0 Yield rate/% 15.3 19.8 21.2 22.3 The results exhibited in Table 2 indicated that the increasing of water volume promotes the reaction.
But when the volume ratio of water to residual liquid exceeded 1.5, the increase of yield rate of reaction became limited.
Based on the experimental data, It is suggested that 1:1.2 is the best volume ratio of residual to water.
