Prediction of water inrush from coal floor based on Fisher discriminant analysis Pinghua Huang1,2, a ,Jiansheng Chen1, b 1College of Civil Engineering, Hohai University , Nanjing, 210098, China 2Institute of Resources & Environment, Henan Univerisity of Science and Technology, Jiaozuo ,454000 ,China ahph2001@hpu.edu.cn, bJSchen@hhu.edu.cn Keywords: water inrush from floor, Prediction of water inrush, discriminant analysis Abstract: Based on the theory of Fisher discriminant analysis, this paper aims to develop the Fisher discriminant function model by using the representative water inrush data from the floor of coal mining face, considering comprehensively the factors that affect the water inrush from coal floor.
The results indicate that this model is a new effective way of predicting the water inrush from floor and can be widely used in the practical engineering because of the low resubstitution error rate and good distinguishing performance.
The result proves that method used in this paper is scientific and reasonal with high predicting accuracy, which can provide a new way to the related engineering from the perspective of the prediction of water inrush from the floor.
