In this work, we reported the evaluation of the “internal” resistivity found in high performance organic/hybrid solar cells based on data reported in the literature.
Overall, lowering of the “internal” resistivity correlates well with degradation in the device performance and can be put in the context of a reduction in the effective diffusion length of the photo-excited carriers.
To facilitate a comparison, we extracted the “internal” resistivity from data of several high performance organic/hybrid solar cells [1-4] and correlated their “internal” resistivity to the QE.
The data apparently fall into 2 groups: a) those that follow a linear relationship (Cell B-1; Cell A; and Cell D-2); and b) those that do not (Cell C and Cell D-1).
The circle highlights data that deviate from the linear relationship.

The representing problem is different from the approximation to data points; planar curve provided more information than data points.

The reduction in the strengths of the alloy treated at 350˚C for two hours should be at least attributed partly to the absence of the magnesium-based intermetallic phase.
All samples were loaded to fracture at room temperature at a strain rate of 1x10-3/s on an Instron universal testing machine (Model 8562) with a computerized data acquisition system.
Tensile properties, including ultimate tensile strength (UTS), yield strength (YS) and elongation at fracture (Ef%), were computed from the data recorded by a data acquisition system.
