Hebei Polytechnic University, Tangshan, Key words:rock material, SHPB experiment, transverse inertia effect, Section friction, Strain rate Abstract: Based on the assumption of one-dimensional specimens and stress distribution hypothesis, SHPB experiment is used to analysis dynamic characteristics of materials.
Moreover, the model is applied to discuss the transverse inertia effect influence on elastic modulus of materials. 1.
Because under the action of transverse restraint, the normal elastic modulus can not exceed elastic modulus of materials in plane strain state, so there is increasing limitof 20% -60.5%.

Introduction Fiber composites are an emerging class of structural materials widely used in many critical applications such as national defense and space technology.
Because low-density, high specific strength, high specific stiffness and the characteristics of to design properties by controlling bonding and materials processing technology of the fiber and matrix, the composite materials in engineering is very promising.
Actually, the distribution of material within the micro-structure is variety, and the periodic micro-structure is the extreme of the material from completely disordered to a strict ordered of the internal structure, also the natural composite material contains many period or similar period of the micro-structure, as the development of material manufacturing technology, a number of reinforcement periodic-accurate distribution of new materials will emerge.
