In recent years, an increasing number of scholars propose diffusion wear on tool surface in machining of certain materials.
It is well known that there are two primary mechanisms for atoms diffusing in homogeneous solid solution based on materials science theory, including vacancy diffusion and interstitial diffusion.
For purpose of further understanding the diffusion discipline of carbon atoms from diamond tool to ferric materials, a diffusion model in based on theory of material science would be established.
