When welding under the water, there are high-pressure gas flowing in the pipeline and water flowing outside, causing a difficult and possibly risky of the welding operation.
Water pressure has a certain compression on arc welding, and the water has a strong cooling effect on the welded joints.
As the professional finite element numerical simulation software in welding field, SYSWELD has advantages that the general characters are very strong, but the specificity is its shortcoming [12-14].
Fig. 5 shows the thermal cycling curve of the nodes investigated in land in-service welding and under-water welding in different water velocities.

RESULTS Set A – water-tightness 25mm, 28 day strength 48,6 MPa with bulk density 2295 kg/m3 Set B - water-tightness 20 mm, 28 day strength 34,9 MPa with bulk density 2190 kg/m3 Set C - water-tightness 17 mm, 28 day strength 36,1 MPa with bulk density 2230 kg/m3.
The detailed analysis of the surface water absorption results indicates that specific value of deicing salt scaling test cannot be estimated from surface water absorption.
